What does a Chiropractor do?
A Conductor acts as the manager of a specified train. That is that a Conductor coordinates movement with dispatchers, yardmasters, switch crews and his counterpart, the engineer.
Duties:
Monitoring the progress of trains being made up in the yard and trains to arrive
Answering questions related to layoffs, claims, CBAs (Collective Bargaining Agreements), rule books (such as GCOR), amongst other traditional managerial questions that arise.
Testing employees to ensure adherence to rules as they pertain to their job functions
Attend disciplinary hearings and issue judgement
Manage direct reports, including Trainmasters and other related roles

How do I get there?
Terminal Managers tend to be promoted from the craft of conductor or engineer to a Trainmaster or else start as a Management Trainee for major Class 1 railroads. Terminal Managers typically promote from Terminal Trainmaster or Division Trainmaster
